The Sparrows Training Centre in Aberdeen is also equipped with a Kransim 600 crane simulator (left), creating a virtual training and competence assessment environment in which both routine and emergency situations can be replicated and procedures practiced.

Whilst standard courses are offered, all can be tailored to meet specific client requirements relating to, for example, operating environment, equipment in use, or specialist applications.

Courses are designed to meet all the requirements of LOLER (Lifting Operations & Lifting Equipment Regulations, UK, 1998) and to reflect best practice in the industry. Courses are accredited, variously, by OPITO (Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organisation), SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority) and EAL (EMTA Awards Ltd) and are developed and delivered within the company’s quality management system to ISO 9000.
